Powstanie Cigars has announced the release of the 250th American Anniversary War Bear. This release features the Powstanie War Bear 2025 Perfecto in commemorative 250th-anniversary packaging.

The 2025 War Bear cigar showcases two wrappers—Ecuadorian Habano and Mexican San Andrés—in an unbalanced barber pole design. The binder is Indonesian, while the fillers are sourced from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The War Bear 2025 is packaged in eight-count boxes, with a total production of 2,000 boxes. The cigar is a perfecto measures 5 5/8 x 60.
Pricing comes in at $250.00 per box, bringing each cigar to $31.25 – making this the most expensive Powstanie release to date.
“We wanted to commemorate this once-in-a-generation anniversary while preserving everything people loved about the original War Bear,” said Mike Palmer, National Sales Manager for Powstanie Cigars. “The commemorative packaging transforms it into a collector’s piece worthy of this historic occasion while honoring the legacy of the War Bear.”
The War Bear is a limited edition release by Powstanie. It was first introduced in 2019 as the Powstanie Wojtek. In 2022, the Toro version of the Wojtek was the #4 Cigar of the Year on Cigar Coop.
