Casa Carrillo has released the Perez-Carrillo Encore Noir II as an exclusive to international markets, but one retailer in the U.S. will be getting a portion of the release for a launch event later this month.
The Perez-Carrillo Encore Noir II is an all-Nicaraguan blend that comes in a Celestial No. 2 size, a 6 1/8 x 50 toro vitola. It’s a blend that’s notably different from the original Encore Noir that came out in April 2024, which uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. The company says that the Encore Noir II “delivers a richer, more intense interpretation while maintaining the balance and elegance that define the series,” adding that it offers “remarkable complexity, layered richness, and refined strength.”
Production is limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars, a total run of 15,000 cigars, made at the company’s factory in the Dominican Republic.
While most of those boxes will be heading out of the U.S., 250 boxes will be shipped to Two Guys Cigars in New Hampshire, which will be hosting a weekend of launch events July 24 and 25, with both Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo III attending.
For the purposes of the Two Guys event, the Encore Noir II will have a price of $17 per cigar. International pricing has not been announced.
“Encore Noir II represents our continued pursuit of refinement through patience,” said Perez-Carrillo Jr. in a press release. “By allowing these tobaccos the time they needed to mature naturally, we’ve created a cigar with remarkable depth, richness, and elegance that remains unmistakably Encore.”
