Killer Bee Buzz Saw 2.0 Returns

Share

Smoke Inn and Black Works Studio are bringing back the Killer Bee Buzz Saw, this time in a new shape. The Buzz Saw 2.0 went on sale 10/30/26 as a Smoke Inn exclusive, trading the original’s rounded perfecto for a 5.25″ x 54 box-pressed belicoso.

The Buzz Saw started out as one of the special formats in Black Works Studio’s 2021 Hive sampler, which pulled sizes from the Killer Bee and Green Hornet lines. It became a standalone Smoke Inn exclusive on September 23, 2024, the retailer’s first exclusive with Oveja Negra Brands. That first edition was a 5″ x 56 perfecto with a barber pole wrapper of Ecuadorian maduro and Connecticut leaf over Nicaraguan binder and filler, and Smoke Inn described it as earthy and peppery with nutmeg and cocoa.

The 2.0 version is a bit longer and slimmer than the original, with a pressed body and a tapered head. Smoke Inn lists it as medium-full in strength with a maduro wrapper, though the release doesn’t break down the full blend for the new size.

Like the rest of the Black Works Studio portfolio, the cigar is made at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua, a small-batch factory managed by James and Angela Brown.

Buzz Saw 2.0 is sold only through Smoke Inn, in 10-count boxes for $120 and five-packs for $60.
