At the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Pospiech Inc.—best known as the distributor for Powstanie—announced a new non-Powstanie brand.
It’s called “Smoke This Trust Me” and it’s based on experiences that the Szczepankiewicz brothers have had running Cigar Hustler, a retail store in Deltona, Fla. For more than a decade, as a way to compete with online stores, Cigar Hustler has offered a brand of house cigars that have been sold under the premise of “buy three, get one free.”
Last week, Smoke This Trust Me, which is built around the same concept, shipped to other stores.
There’s a total of nine cigars: three vitolas, each offered in three wrapper choices.
The three wrapper choices are:
- Connecticut
- Habano
- Maduro
And the three vitolas are:
- Smoke This Trust Me Robusto (5 x 50)
- Smoke This Trust Me Toro (6 x 52)
- Smoke This Trust Me Gordo (6 x 60)
It has not disclosed any additional information about the blends or where the cigars are made.
Regardless of the wrapper or vitola, each cigar has an $8 MSRP. The concept means that if a consumer buys three cigars, for a total of $24 without factoring in taxes or additional markup, they should get four cigars, meaning the price per cigar drops to $6.
“I wanted to create a program that helps brick-and-mortar retailers compete against catalog retailers — without affecting margins,” said Gregg Szczepankiewicz, co-founder of Pospiech, in a press release in April. “A local shop should be able to offer real value to a walk-in customer, right then and there, instead of that customer going home to order online and waiting days just to save a couple bucks.”
In order to make the concept work, Pospiech, Inc. offers retailers a hefty discount if they purchase a mastercase of 30 bundles of 20 cigars.
Pospiech has one other new and announced cigar still to ship: the Powstanie SBC 26, which is now slated to arrive in July.
