At this week’s 2026 Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) meeting, Altadis U.S.A. is showing off the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro, a new, darker version of the line that’s a collaboration between the cigar giant and Christian Eiroa of CLE Cigar Co.

The maduro version features an Ecuadorian habano maduro wrapper, a Honduran corojo binder, and a blend of Colombian Pinareño and Honduran corojo filler tobaccos. The company says that the result “is a deep, complex and flavorful smoking experience with tasting notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit and roasted coffee.”
The cigars are made at Eiroa’s Havano Cigars factory, the facility formerly known as The CLE Factory, and offered in four sizes, ranging from a 5 x 50 Rothchilde to a 6 x 60 Titan.
“The Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro represents the continuation of a chapter we began in 1996 but never had the opportunity to bring to market,” said Eiroa in a press release. “As we continue to celebrate this milestone anniversary, we’re proud to be able to build on the legacy of the original collaboration. With the maduro, we wanted to preserve the distinctive foundation of the original blend while delivering a richer, more intense expression that remains true to the character of Saint Luis Rey. It’s a natural evolution of the story we started together.”
The original Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary was released at the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show and was built around the idea of recreating the original Saint Luis Rey blend, developed by Eiroa in 1996. Like that cigar, the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro will only be available via brick-and-morter retailers.

“The response to the original Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary release confirmed that there is a real appreciation for the history and authenticity of this collaboration,” said Marina Tuntes, brand manager at Altadis U.S.A., in a press release. “Introducing a maduro was a natural next step. It allows us to build on that momentum, offer consumers a new smoking experience and continue supporting our brick-and-mortar retail partners with a compelling addition to the Saint Luis Rey portfolio.”
While TAA retailers are getting a first look at it, they will have to wait a few months for the cigars to be ready to order and ship, as they are slated to begin shipping by the 2027 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which happens March 6-8, 2027 in Las Vegas.
