Around Thanksgiving, RoMa Craft Tobac will release a new sampler full of toros, two of which will be new.
The El Catador de los Gran Toros follows in a long line of El Catador samplers for RoMa Craft. As it has done in the past, these samplers will contain each of the company’s blends in a single vitola. This time it’s the 6 x 54 toro extra vitola. Last year, RoMa Craft Tobac replaced the 5 1/2 x 54 belicoso vitola in its four Intemperance blends with the toro.
As for the sampler, it will include the following:

- CroMagnon PA Cranium
- CroMagnon Visigoth Alarīks
- Intemperance BA XXI Treachery
- Intemperance EC XVIII Fidelity
- Intemperance WR 1794 Tully
- Intemperance VO 1920 Fiorello La Guardia
- Neanderthal Apex Predator
The two new cigars are the Neanderthal Apex Predator and CroMagnon Visigoth Alarīks. CroMagnon Visigoth is an upcoming line that is also slated to arrive in late 2026. The company says it’s the conclusion to its CroMagnon brand and named after the Visigoths people, who are most famous for sacking Rome in 410. Blend-wise, it uses a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper over an Indonesian Besuki binder and corojo and criollo fillers from the Jamastrán Valley in Honduras as well as tobacco from Condega, Nicaragua.
Pricing has not been announced, but production will be limited to 2,000 boxes.
Skip Martin, co-founder of RoMa Craft Tobac, told halfwheel that the El Catador de los Gran Toros is scheduled to arrive in late November.
