At InterTabac 2026, Meerapfel Cigars will new limited edition project known as Project 18.
Project 18 draws inspiration from the Hebrew number of life, 18. For Project 18, each year Meerapfel Cigars will open its vaults and to bring one of its cigar blends that have been aging to life for a release that will never be replicated. Meerapfel will release 180 chests, each consisting of 99 cigars. The 2026 release will feature a 6 x 50 Toro with a genuine Meerapfel Cameroon wrapper.
The chests are made of Japanese Paulownia wood. Each chest will guarantee optimum air and humidity circulation via 360° perforated humidity chambers. The 99 cigars are tied together in a wheel with “Bleu de Vie” ribbons, There are also two gold-plated cigar tubes packaged in each chest. The tubes can be used to transport cigars or be given out as guest.
As with the Meerapfel Master Blends, Project 18 contains tobaccos that are aged at the Maison Meerapfel in Belgium. These tobaccos are shipped to factories where the cigars are rolled. The cigars return to Europe where these are aged in the Japanese Paulownia ageing room at the Maison Meerapfel.

Cigars will individually allocated through Meerapfel Cigars’ partnered tobacconists. Pricing comes in for the U.S. at an SRP $99.00/cigar $9,801.00/chest. Global shipping will start in the fourth quarter of 2026.
InterTabac 2026 takes place in Dortmund, Germany from September 15-17, 2026.
