Hooten Young has announced that it will release Gothic Serpent Culebra. Operation Gothic Serpent was a military operation conducted in Mogadishu, Somalia, by an American force code-named Task Force Ranger during the Somali Civil War in 1993. The motion picture Black Hawk Down depicts it. The mission took place October 3-4, 1993, and is being released during Gothic Serpent Month, which commemorates the historic 1993 mission.
A culebra consists of three intertwined panatela cigars. Often, the cigars that form a culebra are likened to snakes. A snake is considered a serpent, and culebra is the Spanish word for Snake.
The Gothic Serpent Culebra consists of three culebras, for a total of nine cigars per box. Each culebra includes two different barber-pole panetelas and one non-barber-pole panatela. All three cigars feature an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper. One barber-pole intertwines a Habano Candela wrapper with the Connecticut Shade. The other barber-pole intertwines a San Andrés Maduro wrapper with the Connecticut Shade. Like the other two barber-poles, the non-barber-pole also features San Andrés on the cap. Production comes from Córdoba & Morales in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Pricing is $75.00 per three-panatela Culebra.
