The Fuente for Heroes fundraiser has raised $30,000.00 for Tunnel 2 Towers. Thank you to everyone who entered and participated.
Last month, Carlito Fuente handed me a box of Fuente Fuente OpusX ReXilient Cigars and expressed a desire to continue the fundraising efforts. I admit I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but Carlito and I thought it would be a great idea to involve Abe Dababneh and the KMA community. Abe has the infrastructure and resources to help us, and the KMA/Smoke Inn community is known for being strong and supportive. Abe and Arturo Fuente sweetened the pot by offering up to 13 prizes, which included:
- Three OpusX ReXillient Boxes
- One OpusX 25 Tributo Box
- Two OpusX TGS 2021 Boxes
- One OpusX TGS 2026 Box
- Two Arturo Fuente Summer of Love Samplers
- Two OpusX 25 Ashtrays
- Two Carlito OpusX 25 Carlito Bobbleheads
You can see the results of the Fundraiser here and view what the lucky winners were:
The community truly responded. The campaign raised $19,240.00. In the final days, Evan Darnell of Red Meat Lovers matched $2,500.00 in donations while Carlito Fuente added $5,000.00. This brought the grand total to $26,240.00. Abe Dababneh added $3,260.00, bringing the total to $30,000.00. The goal for this campaign was $10,000.00, but thanks to our collective efforts, we shattered it.
| Community | $19,240.00 |
| Evan Darnell | $2,500.00 |
| Carlito Fuente | $5,000.00 |
| Abe Dababneh | $3,260.00 |
| Grand Total | $30,000.00 |
And thanks to everyone, but this wouldn’t have been possible without Abe jumping on board.
One thing I have said is that charity initiatives do require a community effort. Money alone simply cannot check a box. Collective participation increases the human element while building credibility, trust, and momentum. This is a great example of the entire cigar community coming together for an amazing cause.
Thank you to everyone again.
