Going forward, El Titán de Bronze will be responsible for distributing El Titán de Bronze cigars.
In early 2024, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG)’s General Cigar Co. announced a revamped El Titán de Bronze Redemption line, the start of what ended up being a two-and-a-half-year partnership that saw STG distribute El Titán de Bronze’s brands.
Going forward, El Titán de Bronze will once again handle its own distribution. Interested retailers have been encouraged to contact the factory directly.
“We are genuinely grateful to General Cigar and to the people who worked on behalf of El Titán de Bronze throughout our time together,” said Giselle Herrera, president of El Titán de Bronze, in a press release. “Their team helped introduce our cigars to retailers and consumers across the country, and we deeply appreciate the time and effort they invested in our brand. We value the relationships we have built and will continue to collaborate on special releases.”
Herrera is referencing non-Cuban Cohiba and Partagas releases that have been made by El Titán de Bronze and sold by STG.
In an email, Sandra Cobas, the founder of El Titán de Bronze, told halfwheel that the Nicaraguan-made Redemption, introduced earlier this year, will continue to be made, as well as the Redemptions that are made in Miami.
El Titán de Bronze says that it will have a new portfolio of cigars at the PCA 2027 Convention & Trade Show, which takes place March 6-8 in Las Vegas.
“For our family, this moment feels both familiar and full of possibility,” said Herrera. “We know who we are, we believe deeply in what we are building, and we are proud of the work that will be introduced at PCA. Our roots remain in Little Havana, and our next chapter begins there.”
El Titán de Bronze was founded in 1995 and is still located in Miami’s Calle Ocho neighborhood. It’s one of the last remaining factories in Miami and one of just a few that makes cigars for other companies, most notably La Palina and Warped. The factory prides itself on employing experienced rollers from Cuba, who rolls cigars using the entubado method.
