Casa Carrillo is bringing its limited edition La Historia Silk line back to the market, and this time it has a charitable aspect to it.
It’s the same cigar as the one released in August 2025, a 6 x 52 toro with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper from the Quevedo region, aged and fermented for more than 18 months, according to the company. The company has also disclosed the rest of the blend, which uses a binder from Nicaragua’s Estelí region and a filler containing tobacco from Estelí, along with Pennsylvania broadleaf, Dominican La Canela, Mexican San Andrés, and Dominican pelo de oro. Previously, the binder and filler had been undisclosed, but Lissette Perez-Carrillo told halfwheel that it is the same blend.
La Historia Silk was blended by Lissette Perez-Carrillo and inspired by the grace, resilience, and influence of women. The first run was limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars, though the company said it would produce more cigars in subsequent years.
“La Historia Silk is deeply personal—it’s a cigar that honors the women in my life and in our community,” said Perez-Carrillo, when the line was announced in 2025. “We wanted to create something elegant yet powerful, and we knew the final blend had to be chosen by the very women it was inspired by.”
Pricing is set at $16.50 per cigar and $165 for a box of 10 cigars. This run is being set at 2,500 boxes.
A portion of the proceeds from the cigar will benefit Dress for Success Miami, the local chapter of the organization that helps women achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, development tools, and career resources. Since 1994, Dress for Success Miami has helped more than 40,000 women prepare for employment, transition into new positions, and achieve long-term professional success.
“Women have played an important role in our family, our history, and our success,” said Lissette Perez-Carrillo, co-founder of Casa Carrillo. “La Historia Silk was inspired by that influence, strength, and support. Partnering with Dress for Success Miami allows us to extend that story beyond the cigar and support an organization that is helping women create opportunities for themselves and their families.”
The cigars are produced at Casa Carrillo’s factory in the Dominican Republic and are now shipping to retailers.
