Fabrica 5, Bond Roberts’ premium cigar brand, has launched a new brand called 2 Sisters, with its first release, Sorella di Notte: Sister of the Night. 2 Sisters pays homage to two sisters who have served the Cuban cigar industry for over half a century. Bond Roberts co-founder and head of Fabrica 5, Rob Ayala, developed the brand, and Hamlet Paredes blended it.
The “2 Sisters” are Diana Ayala and Lisa Goreta. Fabrica 5 says the line is also a small tribute to the women throughout the cigar industry.
“Between them, Diana and Lisa have given 50 years to the Cuban cigar industry: half a century of experience, hard work, laughter, arguments, extraordinary stories, and a genuine love of cigars,” said Rob Ayala. “Their fingerprints are on countless cigars many around the world have enjoyed over the years.”
Diana and Lisa both have a deep appreciation for the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo des Dieux cigar. Rather than replicate this cigar, blender Hamlet Paredes aimed to capture the qualities they cherish and create a new cigar with its own distinct character.
“Quite fittingly, Hamlet has delivered an absolute triumph,” notes Ayala. “Anyone who has met Diana and Lisa will attest that they are no wallflowers; they know how to command a room. You’ll find these cigars are no different.”
The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Honduran binder. The fillers consist of Nicaraguan and Honduran leaves. The cigar measures 6 1/8 x 42.
Sorella di Notte is priced at SRP $10.90 per cigar or $272.50 per 25-count box.
