With 2027 being the Year of the Sheep (or Goat, depending on how you look at it), Davidoff has announced the latest installment of its Chinese Zodiac Series, the Davidoff Year of the Sheep Limited Edition 2027. Previously, Davidoff released a Year of the Sheep cigar in late 2014. However, the 2027 Davidoff Year of the Sheep will feature a new blend and come in three different offerings.
The blend features Ecuadorian tobaccos for the wrapper and binder over Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. There are three offerings: Piramides, Gran Perfecto (Flagship Store exclusive), and Gran Torpedo (ultra-limited Masterpiece Humidor Exclusive)
Piramides
First, Davidoff will offer the Year of the Sheep Limited Edition 2027 Piramides. Davidoff will make these available to Appointed Merchants. The cigar measures 52 x 6 3/4. Davidoff did not provide pricing to the media, but Appointed Merchants have listed the cigar at an SRP of $65.00. A total of 17,500 ten-count boxes have been produced for worldwide distribution. As with the past few Davidoff Chinese New Year releases, the box includes a numbered collector’s coin.
Flagship Gran Perfecto
Second, Flagship (Davidoff-owned) stores will offer the Davidoff Year of the Sheep Limited Edition 2027 Gran Perfecto. It features the same blend as the Piramides but comes in a 61 x 6 Perfecto format. The brewery is producing a total of 850 24-count boxes. However, pricing information for this was unavailable at the time of publication. This also comes with its own numbered coin.
Masterpiece Humidor with Gran Torpedo
Finally, there is the ultra-premium Davidoff Year of the Sheep Masterpiece Humidor. It features artwork by Chinese illustrator Jane Liu and French textile artist Clémentine Brandibas. The unit will contain 88 (Chinese lucky number) Gran Torpedo cigars (56 x 6). Davidoff says each humidor takes a full week to make, which is why only 12 units are available.

Bringing three figurado formats to life is both a statement of our craftsmanship and a tribute to the harmony this zodiac sign represents,” said Javier Gonzalez, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Innovation, in a press release.
