Tucked away in a corner of Plasencia’s booth at the InterTabac 2026 trade fair was a box of an upcoming release, the company’s new Year of the Goat cigar.
The cigar is the Plasencia El Año de la Cabra, a new 6 1/4 x 60 perfecto. Representatives from the company said a formal announcement with details like blend and pricing will come soon, though, based on the numbering on the box, there will be 6,000 boxes of 10 cigars made. It’s unclear if the cigar is made in Honduras or Nicaragua, though the previous six Plasencia Lunar New Year Series cigars have been made in Nicaragua.
Like with those releases, the colors red and gold are prominently used, a nod to Chinese culture, where both colors have special meanings.
