Hooten Young has not one, but two cigars celebrating the 250th anniversary of America. One that uses a wrapper from Connecticut, while the other uses a wrapper that comes from Pennsylvania.
Both cigars—which come in the same box—are now shipping.
Regardless of wrapper choice, the Hooten Young American 250 Reserve is a 6 1/2 x 5o toro. The 250 Reserve Connecticut uses a shade-grown wrapper, while the 250 Reserve Maduro uses a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper. Underneath is an undisclosed binder and fillers from Nicaragua. The cigars were rolled at an undisclosed factory in Nicaragua.
Each cigar has an MSRP of $17.76 and comes in boxes of 20 cigars. Those boxes contain seven of the Connecticut versions and 13 of the Maduro. Production is limited to 250 boxes.
The release was delayed as Hooten Young added some additional elements to the box, which can be seen above.
