Hooten Young has announced it will release its American 250 Reserve offering. As the name indicates, it commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States. The cigar will be officially available beginning July 13, 2026, with a national launch at Corona Cigar Company in Lake Mary, FL, on July 16. The cigar got a preview at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show.
The American Reserve 250 will be sold in 20-count boxes (a slight change from the 22 announced at PCA 2026). There will be 13 Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapped cigars and seven Connecticut Shade wrapped cigars. The 13 Pennsylvania Broadleaf cigars represent the original 13 colonies. The use of Pennsylvania Broadleaf is important because the Declaration of Independence was signed in Pennsylvania. The remaining seven Connecticut Shade cigars are said to “represent balance and the American Story”
Produced at Cordoba & Morales in Nicaragua, the American Reserve 250 comes in one size – a 6 1/2 x 50 “American Toro.” The cigar’s 50 ring gauge represents the 50 states that make up the U.S. The first batch will consist of 250 numbered boxes (paying homage to America’s 250th anniversary).
Pricing for the American Reserve 250 comes in at an SRP of $17.76/ciga, representing the year the United States declared independence.
