Registration for the 2027 Puro Sabor Festival in Nicaragua is slated to open today at 7 p.m. Eastern time on the festival’s website.
The festival, which runs from Jan. 25-30, 2027, showcases the Nicaraguan cigar industry through visits to cigar factories, farms, tobacco processors and other facilities. There is also a portion of the trip dedicated to exploring Nicaraguan culture, which will be highlighted by a tour of key landmarks in Managua and Masaya.
However, the bulk of the five-day festival is spent in Estelí, the cigar-making capital of the country, and it is notable for offering visits to at least four factories.
This year’s participating factories are:
- AGANORSA Leaf
- AJ Fernandez
- A.S.P. Nicaragua S.A.
- Cigar Box Factory Estelí
- Drew Estate
- Estelí Cigars (Karen Berger)
- Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. (RoMa Craft Tobac)
- J.C. Newman PENSA
- Joya de Nicaragua
- My Father Cigars S.A.

- Oliva Cigar Co.
- Padrón
- Perdomo

- Procenicsa
- Scandinavian Tobacco Group
- Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (Rocky Patel)

Lunches in Estelí are held near tobacco farms, sometimes in curing barns or just a short walk from fields. The evenings feature group dinners, with the upcoming festival’s White Party hosted at Oliva Cigar Co.’s El Fumador facility, while the closing dinner on Friday will once again be held at Rufo Marín Stadium, home to the Real Estelí baseball team, a club also known as Tren del Norte.
Pricing is set at $3,000 for a solo traveler, while tickets for two attendees who will share a room are priced at $5,600. Tickets include hotel accommodations, meals and drinks, ground transfers, a gift box, and premium cigars throughout the event. Airfare is not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately.
