My Father Cigars has begun informing retailers that the Le Bijou 1922 100 Años 2026 Limited Edition is coming.
The 100 Ańos was first released in 2022. The 100 Años would go on to win the 2023 Cigar Coop Cigar of the Year. In 2024, My Father Cigars announced the 100 Años would be returning, with plans to release it on a biannual (every other year) basis. This iteration is the third release of the 100 Años.
In 2008, Jaime Garcia created the first My Father Cigar to honor his father, Don José “Pepin” Garcia. A year later, Pepin paid tribute to his own father, José García Alayón, by releasing a cigar called My Father Le Bijou 1922. “Le Bijou” is French for “The Jewel,” and “1922” refers to the year Pepin’s father was born. Fast forward to 2022, which marked the 100th anniversary of José García Alayón’s birth. In celebration, the Garcia family decided to create a special limited-edition cigar, known as the My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años Limited Edition, to commemorate the centennial of the elder Garcia’s birthday.
The My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años Limited Edition 100 Años has two offerings, the same as the previous iterations.
- Corona Especial: 6 1/2 x 44 (Parejo)
- Corona Extra: 5 1/2 x 48 (Box Pressed)
Each size comes in 22-count boxes (symbolic of the year 2022) with a total production of 1,922 boxes per size. Blendwise, the My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años 2026 is a 100% Nicaraguan puro and follows the same recipe as previous releases. A Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper highlights the 100 Años. All the tobacco comes from the Garcia family farms.
