Viaje has a new project coming to retail stores this week, and it’s full of mystery.
It’s called the Viaje Mystery Box, and inside are 10 cigars, all 6 x 54 toros. As for what those 10 cigars are, the company says they are sizes and shapes that have been released before, and are exclusive to the box. Additionally, some of the cigars have never been released in any form. Via social media, the company did say that every cigar will be banded so that the consumer knows what they are smoking.
There are also four levels of uniqueness within the Mystery Boxes, with the company calling them Common, Rare, Rare, and the “highly coveted” God Box. Each box comes wrapped in tamper-evident paper, as the company intends them to be sold intact and wants to prevent people from cherry-picking through the releases.
Each box has an MSRP of $150.
As with many of its releases, the company is not disclosing numerous details of the project, such as how many boxes are being produced or how many boxes of each level of rarity there are. The company has not said how many total cigars are part of the release, and if one cigar might appear in multiple boxes. A representative of the company told halfwheel that Andre Farkas, owner of Viaje, has been working on this project for more than a year.
