Tatuaje Monster Jason Redux 6

The sixth installment of the Tatuaje Monsters Redux series, titled Tatuaje Monster Jason Redux 6, will soon hit retailers. The Redux series brings back the original full-size Tatuaje Monster Halloween cigars, designed for Halloween sales. Additionally, the Mummy Redux 5 will hit stores in October.

Originally released as the Tatuaje JV13 in 2013, the Jason cigar is inspired by the classic horror movie character Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise. Subsequent releases based on the JV13 blend have continued to use the Jason name, and this Redux edition does as well.

The Jason cigar boasts a long, slender 7 1/2 x 52 parejo size, crafted at the My Father Cigars S.A. facility in Estelí, Nicaragua. It features a rich Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, complemented by an all-Nicaraguan blend of binder and filler tobaccos. Like previous Redux installments, the elegant coffin-style cabinet boxes contain 13 cigars each. The company produced a total of 5,000 boxes.

The Monsters series was first launched in 2008 with the release of Tatuaje The Frank. Each year since, a new monster—featuring a unique blend and size—has been introduced around Halloween. Additionally, several limited-edition sampler offshoots based on these Halloween blends have been released. From 2008 to 2019, a total of thirteen Monster blends were released. In 2021, Tatuaje owner Pete Johnson began a “redux” series that features full-size versions of the Monsters.
