STG Discontinues 21 Cigars

Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), the parent company of General Cigar Co. and Forged Cigar Co., has informed retailers that it has discontinued 21 cigars.

Through Forged and General, two different American sales divisions, STG sells brands like Alec Bradley, CAO, Room101 as well as the non-Cuban versions of Cohiba, Hoyo de Monterrey, La Gloria Cubana, Partagas and others. More than half of the discontinuations affect Alec Bradley and Room101, two brands that STG has acquired in the last five years.

The list of items affected are:

1. Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46)
2. Alec Bradley American Classic Robusto (5 x 50)
3. Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Churchill (7 x 48)
4. Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Robusto (4 7/8 x 50)
5. Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Toro (6 x 48)
6. Alec Bradley Prensado Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46)
7. Alec Bradley Safe Keepings Corona (5 3/8 x 46)
8. Alec Bradley Tempus Natural Churchill (7 x 50)
9. Bolivar Cofradia Petit Corona (4 1/2 x 46)
10. CAO Bones Blind Hughie (6 x 54)
11. CAO Bones Chicken Foot (5 x 54)
12. CAO Bones Maltese Cross (6 x 60)
13. Gold Honey Petit Corona (4 x 40)
14. Hoyo de Monterrey Maduro Sultans (7 1/4 x 54)
15. La Gloria Cubana Soberano Maduro (8 x 52)
16. La Gloria Cubana Soberano Natural (8 x 52)
17. Room101 Payback Connecticut Gordo (6 x 60)
18. Room101 Payback Connecticut Toro (6 x 54)
19. Room101 Payback Maduro Gordo (6 x 60)
20. Room101 Payback Nicaragua Toro (6 x 50)
21. Room101 Payback Nicaragua Gordo (6 x 60)

In addition, the Champions Sampler III and World Sampler II have been discontinued.

“The products detailed on these lists are no longer subject to any General Cigar Company or Forged Cigar Company pricing policies,” said the company in a note to retailers. “Effective immediately, all back orders for these items will be cancelled. Your sales representative will work with you to recommend a replacement for each discontinued item, as we will no longer accept orders for them once any remaining inventory is depleted.”
