The latest cigar in Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc.’s unofficial precious metals and stones series is off to stores.
This week, the company is shipping the new Rocky Patel Sapphire, a new line from Nicaragua. Blend-wise, it uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over two binders: one from Estelí, Nicaragua and the other from the Jamastrán Valley in Honduras. The fillers are from the Condega, Estelí and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. The company says that outside of the wrapper, all of the tobacco comes from its own farm and is said to be six- to seven-years-old. It is rolled at Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. in Estelí.
Sapphire is debuting in four vitolas:
- Rocky Patel Sapphire Robusto (5 1/2 x 50) — $15.95 (Box of 20, $319)
- Rocky Patel Sapphire Corona Gorda (6 x 46) — $13.50 (Box of 20, $270)
- Rocky Patel Sapphire 60 (6 x 60) — $17.95 (Box of 20, $359)
- Rocky Patel Sapphire Toro (6 1/2 x 52) — $16.95 (Box of 20, $339)
Sapphire comes in bright blue boxes that have an octagonal shape. It follows recent releases like Rocky Patel Gold and Rocky Patel Emerald.
