Rocky Patel America 250 Coming in September

Since 2020, a handful of companies have organized a multi-company nationwide selling event known as The Traveling Road Show. Starting last week and running through Wednesday, Aug. 12, Altadis U.S.A., Oliva Cigar Co. and Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc. have been hosting these events for retailers. During the events, Rocky Patel’s reps are offering a chance to buy an upcoming release.

The Rocky Patel America 250 is a new 6 x 52 toro that uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. While this is a new release, the cigars themselves were rolled early last year and have been aging at the Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua ever since. Nish Patel, evp of Rocky Patel, told halfwheel that the America 250 cigar is medium-full with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, a hint of spice, and floral flavors on the backend.

Packaging delays have kept the release off shelves, but the cigars are expected to ship in mid- to late September.
