After a period of retailer exclusivity and several months ahead of schedule, Perdomo Cigars has begun shipping its Legacy Father & Son to retailers across the country.
The Perdomo Legacy Father & Son is a trio of cigars blended by Nick Perdomo Jr. and Nicholas Perdomo III, centered around a hybrid seed developed by Perdomo Jr. that combines a habano-seed tobacco with a Cameroon-seed. It is a follow-up to the Perdomo Legacy brand that debuted last year. That brand was developed by Perdomo III as a 60th birthday gift for his father, Perdomo Jr.
Perdomo III told halfwheel that the Legacy uses the highest priming version of the tobacco, meaning it was taken from the leaves at the top of the plant, which he said showed more of the habano-seed influence. The Legacy Father & Son releases use what he said was a slightly lower priming that has more of the Cameroon influence and looks more like that varietal.
For Legacy Father & Son, the father made one blend, the son made another, and the pair developed the third blend together.

All three blends use the hybrid seed for their binder. Perdomo Jr. blended the Shade Grown version, which also uses it for the wrapper.
Perdomo III blended the Maduro version, which uses a wrapper from Nicaragua.
The pair worked on the Connecticut offering, which uses a Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador. The fillers come from the Condega, Estelí and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. The company says that all of that tobacco is from the 2011-2016 harvests, which is the reason why this is not a regular production offering.
Regardless of wrapper choice, the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son is offered in just one vitola: a 6 x 48/60/52 box-pressed gran figurado. Each cigar will have an MSRP of $15, and the cigars will be packaged in 50-count chests, which the company is making at its box factory.
The cigars debuted in early May at Two Guys Cigars in New Hampshire. Perdomo originally announced that the cigars wouldn’t be ready to ship to other stores until Q4 2026, meaning that the Legacy Father & Son will be in the hands of consumers and fans several months earlier than planned.
Previously, Perdomo III told halfwheel that the company hopes to release a limited quantity of Legacy Father & Son once or twice per year.
