Oliva Year of the Goat Coming to International Markets

This week at the InterTabac 2026 trade fair in Dortmund, Germany, Oliva Cigar Co. is showcasing its upcoming limited-edition release celebrating the Year of the Goat.

The Oliva Year of the Goat’s blend puts a Cameroon wrapper atop a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with the cigar offered in a 6 x 60 double toro, a size often referred to as a gordo. It’s made at Tabacalera Oliva S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, with production limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars, none of which are destined for the U.S. market.

While it won’t be sold in the U.S., the company says pricing will be about $35 per cigar and $350 per box, though it acknowledged that pricing will vary by market due to local duties and taxes.

“The Goat doesn’t chase attention, it earns it quietly, and that’s exactly the cigar we set out to build,” says Fred Vandermarliere, ceo of Vandermarliere Cigar Family, via a press release.

Distribution will focus on Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with the cigars slated to arrive ahead of the Lunar New Year on Feb. 6, 2027. This is the fourth year that Oliva Cigar Co. has created a cigar for the Lunar New Year, as the Year of the Goat will join the company’s releases for the Year of the Dragon, the Year of the Snake, and the Year of the Horse.
