Two new releases from Crowned Heads/OZ Family Cigars are heading to stores today. One is a regular production item, the other is a limited edition.

The regular production item is the Moonflower, a new line from the My Father factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, the first time in a decade that Crowned Heads has a new regular production line from the factory. Blend-wise, it is a Nicaraguan puro with a corojo-seed wrapper over binders from Estelí and Jalapa and fillers from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa.

It is offered in three vitolas:

  • Moonflower Robusto (5 x 52) — $12.95 (Box of 21, $271.95)
  • Moonflower Corona Gorda (6 x 46) — $11.95 (Box of 21, $250.95)
  • Moonflower Toro (6 x 54) — $13.50 (Box of 21, $283.50)

Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, told halfwheel that the moonflower plant holds a special place in his life due to his relationship with his wife. Huber has two moonflowers tattooed on his hand.

Also hailing from the My Father Cigars S.A. factory is the new OZ Family Cigars Limited Edition World Cup 2026, a limited edition 6 x 50 toro that uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over tobaccos from Brazil, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua and the U.S. Tim Ozgener, founder of OZ Family Cigars, told halfwheel that he tried to incorporate tobaccos from countries that are playing in the World Cup. Four of the six countries that make up the blend are playing in the tournament.

Each cigar has an MSRP of $19.95 and production is limited to 2,026 boxes of 10 cigars.

While Crowned Heads and OZ Family Cigars were introduced as separate brands, since last year, they’ve operated under the same corporate structure and share the same warehouse and sales team.
