Matilde Serena Perla Goes on Sale in Germany

Share

The Matilde Serena line has a new vitola, the blend’s smallest size to date.

It’s the Matilde Serena Perla, a 4 x 40 petit corona. The Serena is a regular production line that debuted a decade ago. It uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The cigars are rolled at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic.

While the Perla will eventually be sold in other markets, it debuted in Germany via Matilde’s distributor, Kohlhase & Söhne.

In Germany, the cigar has an SRP of €3.90 ($4.50) per cigar. The Perla is sold in cabinets of 50.

“The new Serena Perla remains true to the character of the series,” said Kohlhase & Söhne in a press release. “A buttery, creamy smoke unfolds across the palate, complemented by subtle notes of walnut, cedar wood, and leather. Distinct peppery accents add complexity and intrigue, while a delicate sweetness rounds out the flavor profile in perfect harmony.”
