Mr Punch by Punch Cigar

Forged Cigar Company has announced it is adding the Mr. Punch by Punch cigar. This is a new regular production offering under the Punch brand that pays homage to the famous Mr Punch mascot.

The Punch brand was created in 1840 and was named after the European puppet show character Punch and Judy. The mascot featured under the Punch brand is based on that character. Over the years, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), the parent company of Forged, has owned the non-Cuban version of Punch and has used the Mr. Punch mascot in its marketing.

Mr. Punch by Punch features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan Jalapa Seco binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar was produced at the Scandinavian Tobacco Group Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, and it offers tasting notes of wood, cream, and spice.

Mr. Punch by Punch is available in three sizes: Toro (6 X 54), Gigante (6 X 60), and the Big Slapper (7 X 70). The Big Slapper is the largest size ever released under Punch.

In a press release, Scott Abney, Brand Manager for Punch Cigars, said, “Mr. Punch is a true icon not just in the cigar industry, but in pop culture. So it only made sense to create a cigar that captures his spirit. This new blend delivers a classic Punch smoking experience with a flavor profile tailored to the modern consumer. We know it’s going to be a hit.”

Mr. Punch by Punch begins shipping to retailers in July 2026.
