Creekside Launching Queen of the West, A New Cigar Brand

Creekside Cigar Co. will become the latest cigar retailer to transition into also selling its own line of cigars nationwide.

The Cincinnati-based retailer, known for its large presence on social media, has announced its new cigar brand: Queen of the West. Its first release will be Queen of the West Bel D’oro, debuting in a single 6 x 48 toro vitola. Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed desflorado wrapper over a Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and the United States. It is made at TABACALERA LA iSLA in the Dominican Republic.

Creekside says that the cigars will be available at around a dozen other stores on Monday, Aug. 17. For its part, Creekside won’t start selling the cigars at its shop until Friday, Aug. 21, when the store has an event with Hostos Fernández Quesada, the owner of LA iSLA.

“This cigar is the evolution of Creekside,” said Dave Imber, Creekside’s owner, in a press release. “We built a blend that brings real excitement, both in flavor and in the experience around it. But more than anything, this one is for our people. The ones who have supported our dream from the beginning.”

Queen of the West is one of Cincinnati’s nicknames.

Creekside says that this is the first of three different Queen of the West core lines.
