In about a month, Eric Piraas’ Confidenciaal has a new release that will have two different wrappers in the same box.
It’s called Incognito. Half of the box contains Incognito Claro, which uses a Connecticut-seed wrapper, while the other half of the box is Colorado, which uses a habano-seed wrapper. As with the standard Confidenciaal line, the company isn’t disclosing much more about the blend. However, both cigars share the same internal blend, which is said to be a different one than the standard range.
In the brand’s home market of Hong Kong, it will be priced at HK$ 6,800 ($870) per box of 20, though due to Hong Kong’s high taxes, prices are expected to be much lower in other markets.
Like with the other Confidenciaal products, the boxes are designed to be more environmentally friendly. They are made of a premium cardboard that is lighter than wood but strong enough to keep the cigars protected during shipping. In addition, these boxes get some cut-outs that partially reveal the cigars themselves.
Incognito is expected to arrive in late October. Just 500 boxes have been made.
While Confidenciaal, launched in 2022, has not yet celebrated its fifth anniversary, Piraas has been in the cigar business for decades. His Cigraal business serves as the Hong Kong distributor for a long list of non-Cuban cigar brands, while he also operates the Bertie Cigar lounges in Hong Kong and Cambodia.
