Caldwell Mooncake Debuting Tomorrow

Share

Caldwell Cigar Co. has a new spin-off of its Yellow Cake brand.

It’s called Mooncake, which is described as a Connecticut version of the Yellow Cake. Outside of the fact that it uses a Connecticut-seed wrapper, the company has declined to talk about any other specifics of the blend or where the cigars are made.

“Mooncake is a fresh expression of the beloved Yellow Cake blend, reimagining the original’s signature profile with the creamy richness of a Connecticut wrapper,” said the company in a press release. “The core notes that made Yellow Cake a fan-favorite remain; only now, they’re enhanced by the smooth, mellow sweetness that Connecticut leaf brings to the blend. The result is a delightfully smooth, pleasant smoke, perfectly suited for the fall.”

Yellow Cake debuted in 2014 as an event-only release, though in the last couple of years, it’s returned as a limited edition line offered in Habano and Maduro variants. The most recent shipment took place in January.
