Caldwell’s Crafted & Curated Series is a loose collection of different small-batch blends that are created by Robert Caldwell.
The latest one of those cigars, an homage of sorts to the SAVAGES line, has arrived at stores.
It’s called SAVAGES Malpensante, which the company says loosely translates into “cynic.” It’s offered in a 6 x 54 toro extra that uses an Ecuadorian habano 2000 wrapper over a Sumatra-seed binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic. It is made at Tabacalera Mina del Rey in the Dominican Republic.
Each cigar has an MSRP of $15 and production is limited to 400 boxes of 10 cigars.
SAVAGES was a regular production blend that was once made at Tabacalera William Ventura, but production stopped following the September 2022 fire that burnt the factory to the ground.
