Gellis Family Cigars Adding Piece Unique Emerald Sky to Lineup

There will be a second Piece Unique release this year.

According to a post on Cigar Aficionado, Gellis Family Cigars—a brand started by Kyle Gellis, the owner of Warped Cigars—will be releasing Piece Unique Emerald Sky, a 5 1/2 x 48 cigar made with an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper covering a Mexican San Andrés binder and filler tobaccos grown in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. In addition, the filler includes pelo d’oro tobacco from Peru.

This is the second Piece Unique scheduled for 2026. Earlier this year, the company announced the Piece Unique 2026, a 6 x 52 toro incorporating blend that, on paper, is similar to the Emerald Sky: an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés binder, along with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. It is notably different for its pink packaging, compared to the green used for this new version.

Before this year, there were two previous releases of the Piece Unique, and while they both the same 6 x 52 size, each release had a different blend. The line debuted in 2024 and was sold to U.S. stores, but the 2025 release was only offered to non-U.S. retailers.

Piece unique is a watch term, typically referring to a one-of-one watch, usually reserved for a brand’s most prized customers or charity auctions like Only Watch. For this release, the “unique” aspect is the idea that each specific blend will only be made once.

Boxes of the Piece Unique Emerald Sky are scheduled to ship to retailers in late November.
