Brolo Cigar Co., a fairly new cigar company, has announced that it will be launching its three core lines in just a couple of weeks on Nov. 19.
The company was started by the husband-and-wife team of Joshua and Kaitlyn Stephens, who created it out of what they call “a genuine appreciation for good tobacco, the people who enjoy it, and the conversations that happen when the rest of the world slows down.” They cite the philosophy of “patina over polish” when it comes to embracing character over perfection, authenticity over appearances, and relationships over transactions.
After building an online community built around its website, blog, and Discord group, the company is ready to release its own cigars, debuting with three blends.

First up is Porchilight, which uses an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The company calls it “a medium-bodied experience characterized by floral notes, dried fruit sweetness, subtle pepper, and a creamy texture,” adding that it’s “approachable without sacrificing complexity.” Pricing is set at $14.75 per cigar.
Next is Confessional, which also comes priced at $14.75 per cigar. It’s a habano-forward blend, using an Ecuadorian habano rosado wrapper, Nicaraguan habano binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. Designed to offer richness and depth, the company says the profile offers “baking spices, dark fruit, smoky cherry, coffee, and red pepper,” which create “a layered smoking experience with a lingering finish.”
Rounding out the lineup is Back Booth, which uses a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. “Back Booth brings darker, richer flavors to the lineup. Notes of dark wood, walnut, cedar, raisin, and baking spice create a balanced, medium-bodied experience with character to spare,” the company wrote in a press release. It’s the most expensive cigar in the line, priced at $16.25.
All three blends are offered in a single, 5 x 50 robusto size, and come packed in 20-count boxes. The company has not yet disclosed where its cigars are made, though said it is printed on the bottom of the boxes.
“There’s something special about the people you meet around cigars,” said Joshua Stephens, co-founder of Brolo Cigar Co. “Different backgrounds, different stories, different walks of life. But for an hour or two, none of that really matters. You’re just sitting together, sharing something good. That’s the spirit we wanted to capture with Brolo.”
The cigars will debut at Viso Cigar Lounge in McKinney, Texas on Nov. 19, with retailer shipments beginning the next day.
