Brolo Cigar Company Porchlight Confessional Back Booth

A new company, Brolo Cigar Company, is making its debut. It’s not just introducing three product lines; it’s also bringing a community-driven approach that engages both its retail partners and consumers. With its launch announcement, Brolo revealed three regular production blends: Torchlight, Confessional, and Back Booth. These lines will officially launch on November 19, 2026, at Viso Cigar Lounge in McKinney, Texas, with retailer shipments starting on November 20.

Brolo was founded by the husband-and-wife team of Joshua and Kaitlyn Stephens. They shared a passion for premium cigars, which led them to Nicaragua, where they spent time learning the ropes of premium cigar making, including blend development. They wanted to create something that reflected their tastes and experiences.

“Brolo wasn’t born in a boardroom. It was born from a genuine appreciation for good tobacco, the people who enjoy it, and the conversations that happen when the rest of the world slows down,” the company said in a press release.

The company is also embracing what it calls “Patina Over Polish” – namely character over perfection, authenticity over appearances, and relationships over transactions.

“There’s something special about the people you meet around cigars,” said Joshua Stephens, co-founder of Brolo Cigar, in a press release. “Different backgrounds, different stories, different walks of life. But for an hour or two, none of that really matters. You’re just sitting together, sharing something good. That’s the spirit we wanted to capture with Brolo.”

Meanwhile, the company is building community as part of its foundation. This includes utilizing its Discord community, regular virtual cigar gatherings, group smokes, and interviews. The company also has its own Light Up & Lean media platform.

“Anybody can sell you a cigar,” Stephens added. “What we’re interested in is what happens after you light it. The conversations, the friendships, the stories. We want Brolo to be a reason people linger.”

That philosophy also informs the company’s approach to distribution. Brolo says it is committed to supporting independent brick-and-mortar tobacconists, making its cigars available through retail partners rather than direct-to-consumer cigar sales. The company also plans to support retail partners through in-store events, brand education, and opportunities for customers to engage directly with the founders.

The following are the three blends:

PORCHLIGHT

Porchlight features an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The cigar delivers a medium-bodied experience with floral notes, dried fruit sweetness, subtle pepper, and a creamy texture. At the same time, the cigar is approachable without sacrificing complexity.

CONFESSIONAL

The cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder. The company describes this double-Habano expression as delivering richness and depth. Confessional features baking spices, dark fruit, smoky cherry, coffee, and red pepper, which the company says creates a layered smoking experience with a lingering finish.

BACK BOOTH

Back Booth features a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan Habano binder. The fillers are Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. The company says Back Booth brings darker, richer flavors to the lineup. Back Booth features dark wood, walnut, cedar, raisin, and baking spice, creating a balanced, medium-bodied experience.

All three blends debut in a 5 x 50 Robusto format, packaged in 20-count boxes. Porchlight and Confessional are priced at $14.95/cigar. Back Booth comes in at $16.25 per cigar.
