Fuente Fuente OpusX ForbiddenX Templo de Oro No 13 | Agile Cigar Review

Share

Today, we review the Fuente Fuente OpusX Forbidden X Templo de Oro No 13 (a 6 x 58 Gordo) from Arturo Fuente Cigars. Templo de Oro debuted in the last days of 2025. It’s been a cigar shrouded in mystery from Arturo Fuente. Owner Carlito Fuente didn’t give many details. We do know that this cigar has one of the lighter-colored wrappers among OpusX cigars. Templo de Oro means “Temple of Gold,” and it refers not only to the gold-colored packaging on this cigar, but also to the wrapper’s hue. It’s listed as an extension of the OpusX ForbiddenX line, but any lineage or connection between Templo de Oro and ForbiddenX is largely unknown. Another recent detail is that this cigar was originally intended for the Asian market, but the company decided to release it to other markets, including the U.S.

SPECIFICATIONS

Because of the limited information available about this cigar, there is a corresponding lack of detailed insight into its blend. The OpusX line typically uses a wrapper grown at Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic.

PERFORMANCE

The Templo D’Oro No 13 opened with notes of natural tobacco, cream, cedar, black pepper, and honey. The honey and cream notes. Early on, the honey and the cream notes moved to the forefront. Meanwhile, the pepper, cedar, and natural tobacco notes were secondary. On the retro-hale, a layer of mixed pepper emerged. During the second third, the natural tobacco notes increased, and by the midway point, they displaced the honey and cream notes into the background. Pepper increased in the second half. By the final third, the natural tobacco remained primary. In the background, pepper, honey, cream, and cedar notes remained, with pepper taking a slight edge. This is the way the Templo de Oro No 13 came to a close.

The Templo de Oro No 13 delivered medium flavors, countered by medium strength. Construction of this cigar was excellent. The burn required minimal touchups to maintain a straight burn path and straight burn line. Meanwhile, the draw had a touch of resistance, which is something that I like.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT

Final Thoughts

I’m now two vitolas into the OpusX Templo de Oro line, and it has become very clear to me that this has all of the makings of a legendary cigar. The No 13 was definitely bolder than my experience with the Robusto-sized No 3, but it was certainly not short on flavor. On the other hand, it’s still on the lower end of medium in strength and body. The No 13 is also the most expensive vitolas in the Templo de Oro line, but it’s worth splurging on. While I still give the No 3 a slight edge over the No 13, it doesn’t mean I won’t reach for the No 13 either. In the end, this cigar is a home run.
