Crowned Heads Moose Kick Limited Edition 2026

Crowned Heads has announced  Moose Kick Limited Edition 2026, an exclusive release for Canada. Miguel Schoedel of Crowned Heads/OZ Family Cigars and Richard Joseph, premium cigar category manager at Brigham Enterprises, which distributes Crowned Heads in Canada, developed Moose Kick. It’s the third annual release of the Moose Kick.

Crowned Heads launched the Moose Kick Limited Edition in 2024 exclusively for the Canadian market. Each year, the blend features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over all Nicaraguan tobaccos. Each year, the size changes, with the 2026 edition coming in a 4 7/8 x 56 format (a slightly wider ring than 2025’s 4 7/8 x 52 format). A total of 5,600 cigars were produced for Moose Kick 2026, making it the largest Moose Kick production to date. The 2025 edition produced 4,500 cigars, and the 2024 edition produced 3,000 cigars. Production comes from Eradio Pichardo’s TacaNicsa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

“This year we created a cigar with a little more character, aiming to further refine the blend by enhancing the notes of sweetness, pepper, and wood—above all—we dialed in the balancing acidity,” said Eradio Pichardo, owner of TacaNicsa, in a press release.

Each year, the band has been slightly modified. The 2026 edition features blue accents following the green and red bands used for the 2025 and 2024 releases, respectively. The boxes come in 40-count boxes, with each box containing four ten-count bundles.

In addition, Crowned Heads and Brigham are launching “The Hunt for the Golden Crown.” This contest incorporates Canada’s mandatory plain packaging regulations. These regulations require cigar manufacturers and distributors to cover original cigar branding with standardized, compliant bands. Brigham Enterprises developed a concept that uses the mandatory covering band to conceal a surprise. The 5,600 Moose Kick 2026 cigars include ten specially designed golden bands under the plain packaging band. Unlike the standard blue Moose Kick band, these ten feature bands with gold accents and a golden crown above the moose’s head.

Consumers who find one of the ten golden-banded cigars will receive a commemorative five-cigar sampler. The sampler contains two Moose Kick 2024 cigars, two Moose Kick 2025 cigars, and one Moose Kick 2026 cigar. The retailer that sold the winning cigar will also receive a commemorative gold Moose Kick tin-plate wall sign. Winners must claim all bands by June 1, 2027.
