La Aurora has announced the release of the La Aurora Puro Vintage 2016.
The Puro Vintage series is a limited-production line of cigars, with each installment made up of what La Aurora considers the best tobaccos harvested from different regions for a particular year. For example, the Puro Vintage 2014 uses tobaccos harvested in 2014.
The 2016 edition features an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper over a Brazilian binder. The fillers consist of aged tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Nicaragua. The Puro Vintage 2016 comes in a 6 1/2 50/60 Salomon. The company produced a total of 700 eight-count boxes. Each box is priced at SRP $224.00/box or SRP $28.00/cigar.
“The Salomon format gives this cigar a very special smoke,” said Manual Inoa in a press release. “Its shape, the doble figurado, makes it evolve differently as it opens and closes the ring during the burning, accumulating strength at the end. A real festival of taste from around the world.”
U.S. shipments are expected to begin arriving at retailers in mid to late October.
