Cavalier Genève Ships New Small Batch Lancero & Salomónes

Earlier this year, Cavalier Genève announced it was discontinuing the four cigars that made up the company’s Small Batch Series and replacing them with two new releases. Now, those cigars are on the way to retailers.

The two new cigars are a 7 x 38 Lancero and a 7 x 50/58 Salomónes. If that sounds familiar, it’s because the company once offered the same two vitolas as limited production cigars for its Black Series II and White Series lines. While the same sizes, two new Small Batch cigars use a new blend: a Honduran wrapper over tobaccos from Nicaragua and Paraguay. As with all Cavalier Genève cigars, they are produced at Cavalier’s Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. in Danli, Honduras.

“Over the last few years, we worked hard to constantly keep those extremely intricate vitolas constantly available, which was, as I believe today a mistake,” said Sebastien Decoppet, founder of Cavalier Genève, in a press release. “We ended up completely disregarding the uniqueness and skill level required to achieve this kind of product. We decided it was time to scratch everything and go back to the basics.”

While these two cigars are called “Small Batch,” they are not limited editions. Both cigars are considered regular production items.

They are part of the reworked Small Batch Series, which is now a loose collection of at least three different releases. First, there’s the Project Broadleaf, a collection of four different blends, each with a broadleaf wrapper. The Project Broadleaf debuted last year and has returned for 2026 with three of the same blends. Then there’s the Project 10th Anniversary, one of the company’s 10th anniversary releases. It’s not a limited edition; however, Cavalier Genève will only accept orders through the end of 2026. Then there are these two cigars:
