Today, we review the Brick House Bricktoberfest 2025 from J.C. Newman Cigar Company. The Bricktoberfest is an annual, limited-edition release under J.C. Newman’s Brick House brand. The name “Bricktoberfest” is inspired by Oktoberfest, which is typically enjoyed with lagers. This initiative began as a marketing campaign to align with the Oktoberfest season. Since 2022, J.C. Newman has released a limited edition Bricktoberfest cigar each year as part of this campaign. Bricktoberfest is designed to be enjoyed alongside an Oktoberfest-style lager.
The following are the four Bricktoberfest releases by J.C. Newman:
SPECIFICATIONS
After three years of Toro sizes, Bricktoberfest 2025 introduced a 7 3/4 x 48 Churchill size in ten-count boxes. The blend features an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper over all Nicaraguan tobaccos. The tobaccos in the blend are analogous to the previous Bricktoberfest, but J.C. Newman has not said if the blend is identical. The cigar features a fan-tail on the cap.

PERFORMANCE
The Bricktoberfest 2025 opened with notes of natural tobacco, apple, earth, and baker’s spice. Early on, the natural tobacco and apple took the lead, delivering a lot of sweetness. The earth and baker’s spice settled in the background. The retrohale delivered black pepper with a slight apple sweetness. By the second third, the natural tobacco took over as the sole primary note. The apple settled in the background and transitioned to cedar notes. Meanwhile, black pepper emerged in the background. The black pepper increased, and the baker’s spice diminished. By the final third, the natural tobacco had some bitter qualities. The pepper, cedar, and earth notes rounded out the flavor profile. This is the way the Bricktoberfest came to a close. The cigar finished with a soft, cool nub.
The flavors were medium-bodied, with medium strength. There was a slight increase in strength and body during the smoking experience. Throughout the smoking experience, the body had an edge over the strength. The burn was low maintenance, requiring minimal touchups to keep a straight burn path and straight burn line. As for the draw, it was more open than I prefer, but it didn’t result in any adverse effects.
OVERALL ASSESSMENT
Final Thoughts
Much like I did when I assessed the Bricktoberfest 2024, I opted to wait 11 months to see if the 2025 aged the same way. The good news is, like the 2024, age was kind to this cigar. I found the Churchill size to really work well with this blend. The first third delivered a lot of natural sweetness and was quite enjoyable. The remaining two-thirds weren’t at the same level, but they still were enjoyable. In the end, I could recommend this cigar to a novice or experienced cigar enthusiast. As for me, this is a cigar I would buy and smoke again (assuming I could find it). At $10.00 a cigar, Iwould keep multiples in my humidor to smoke.
