Hooten Young Collaborating With Ruger For New Cigars, Bourbon

Hooten Young is teaming up with Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc., a major firearms company, to release two new Ruger-branded cigars and a new bourbon.

Center Fire is a 6 x 54 toro made with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an undisclosed binder and filler blend, while Rim Fire is a 6 x 54 toro made with a Connecticut-seed shade-grown wrapper from an undisclosed country over an undisclosed binder and filler blend. The cigars are made at an undisclosed factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Both cigars will have an MSRP of $20 and will be available in four-packs and 20-count boxes, each box containing 10 of each blend. The cigars’ packaging features Ruger’s logo.

Hooten Young is also releasing Ruger First-Fire Bourbon, a 96-proof bourbon aged for seven years and bottled by Manifest Distilling in Jacksonville, Fla. A total of 1,776 individually numbered 750ml bottles are being released with an MSRP of $45.99 each.

Center Fire, Rim Fire and the Ruger First-Fire Bourbon will be available for pre-order on Hooten Young’s website on Oct. 14. It’s unclear if the cigars or bourbon will be sold at other retailers or when either will ship.
