Quality Importers Trading Co. has started shipping a new version of its XIKAR Perfect Xi1 cigar cutter to commemorate America’s 250th birthday.
There are three different color choices of the XIKAR Perfect Xi1 America 250: black, blue and red. Each cutter has an MSRP of $79.99, and all three cutters feature the same front-and-back design adorned with bald eagles, the number 250, the words “250th Anniversary,” and the dates “1776 – 2026”.
First released in 2023, the XIKAR Perfect Xi1 is a double guillotine-style cutter with two stainless steel blades that can cut the heads of cigars with up to a 64 ring gauge, and can cut up to a 54-ring-gauge cigar in half. It features the iconic Xi1 teardrop shape, with an aluminum body.
As the name suggests, the Perfect Xi1 is virtually identical to XIKAR’s classic Xi1 cutter, with one notable exception: the addition of a backplate. This is designed to help prevent the user from cutting off too much of a cigar’s head, which can damage it and possibly cause the wrapper to unravel.
In an email, Danilo Faulin, procurement manager at Quality Importers Trading Co., told halfwheel that the company will make enough of the XIKAR Perfect Xi1 America 250 cutters to meet demand, and that they began shipping to retailers on Sept.10.
