Flor de Selva Año de la Cabra 2027 Debuting at InterTabac 2026

The Lunar New Year is still about five months away, but the InterTabac 2026 trade fair just a matter of days away, which means cigar companies will be announcing new releases debuting at the event. For Maya Selva Cigars, its featured new smoke is the Flor de Selva Año de la Cabra 2027, a limited edition cigar designed to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Goat.

The cigar is a 6 x 56 toro gordo with an all-Honduran blend. The wrapper comes from Finca San Carlos, the binder is from Jamastrán, and the filler contains tobacco from Jamastrán, Azacualpa, and Santa Barbara. Additionally, the cigar gets a small wrap of dark, Jamastrán-grown tobacco around its foot for both decoration and to provide a little more flavor complexity right out of the gate. The company calls it a medium-to-full-bodied experience, “characterized by earthy, nutty, and cedary notes, complemented by a smooth, creamy smoke.”

“For Año de la Cabra, we focused our work on achieving balance and complexity through precise tobacco selection and controlled fermentation,” said Maya Selva, founder of Maya Selva Cigars, in a press release. “The wrapper from Finca San Carlos brings structure and refinement, while the combination of leaves from Jamastrán, Azacualpa, and Santa Barbara allows us to build a layered aromatic profile with depth, evolution, and remarkable consistency in combustion and draw.”

The cigars are made at the company’s factory in Danlí, Honduras, with 2,027 boxes of 10 cigars produced. A spokesperson for the company said it expects to ship them to stores in November, with an estimated price of €27 in Europe, though that will vary by market. As for a U.S. release, the company has not yet announced its plans, though the spokesperson said it expects to make a decision fairly soon.

Maya Selva Cigars has released a limited edition cigar for the Lunar New Year since 2018.

The upcoming Lunar New Year is on Feb. 6, 2027.
