The first boxes of the Indian Motorcycle Cigars 125th Anniversary have gone on sale at the Rhino’s Cigar Lounge by Owl Shop in Windham, N.H.
The cigar is the latest release from Phil Zanghi III, made in honor of the 125th anniversary of Indian Motorcycle, America’s oldest motorcycle company. Since 2015, Zanghi has had a licensing agreement to produce Indian Motorcycle cigars.
As for the cigar, it’s offered in a 6 x 52 toro using a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper over a Dominican binder and undisclosed fillers. The cigars were made at De Los Reyes in the Dominican Republic.
Each cigar has an MSRP of $20 and production is limited to 500 boxes of 20 cigars. Zanghi told halfwheel that over the next month, he will ship orders to other stores. In addition, he is working on taking part in events with Indian Motorcycle as the brand celebrates its major milestone over the summer.
Indian Motorcycle was founded as Hendee Manufacturing Co. in 1901 in Springfield, Mass. At one point, it was the largest motorcycle company in the world. In 2011, Polaris, Inc. bought the brand, though it spun it off to Carolwood LP last year.
Update — The cigar debuted at Rhino’s Cigar Lounge by Owl Shop not Owl Shop.
