La Aurora Announces Cazadores Flavors

La Aurora is adding a trio of new flavored lines to its Cazadores brand.

The Cazadores Flavors will be available in the same three blends that make up the current Cazadores line, but each Cazadores Flavors cigar is, as the name implies, flavored. The regular-production cigars are being made at the company’s factory located in the Dominican Republic.

The Cazadores Blond is based on the Cazadores Claro with an added “light vanilla-cream sweetness.”

The Cazadores Brown is based on the Cazadores Maduro and features “rich notes of cocoa and toasted cognac.”

The Cazadores Caribbean is based on the Cazadores Nicaragua and features “notes of rum and tropical spice.”

“We built each flavor around the wrapper it’s paired with, not the other way around,” said John Ferrigan, national sales director at La Aurora USA, in a press release. “Cazadores Brown leans into everything a Maduro wrapper already does well, Cazadores Blond plays off the mellow sweetness of the Claro, and Cazadores Caribbean brings out the spice already found in the Nicaragua leaf. Nothing about these cigars feels bolted on — they taste like an extension of the blends smokers already know.”

Each of the three blends will come in the same two vitolas: a 5 x 50 Robusto with an MSRP of $6 and a 5 3/4 x 54 Toro priced at $6.25 each. According to the company, the 6 x 60 Gordo vitola will remain exclusive to the original Cazadores lines.

When it debuted in 2018, La Aurora’s Cazadores line was billed as a budget-friendly addition to the company’s portfolio. The brand now includes three different blends: the original Cazadores Claro, the Cazadores Maduro and the Cazadores Nicaragua.

Boxes of all three Cazadores Flavors blends are scheduled to begin shipping to stores this month.
