Emanuele Uccellini, general manager and president of Davidoff of Geneva USA, will leave the company on Oct. 1.

In an email sent to staff this morning, Edward Simon, svp chief sales officer for Oettinger Davidoff AG, announced that Uccellini was leaving for a different industry.

Uccellini joined the company in March of last year after serving as business unit director at Lavazza Group, the Italian coffee company. Simon’s email to staff thanked Uccellini for leading the U.S. organization to “significant results in culture, performance and organizational collaboration.” As the head of Davidoff’s American operation, Uccellini oversees a national sales team as well as a retail division that includes an online storefront and physical stores, most famously in Manhattan.

Per a Davidoff spokesperson, Simon will take over Uccellini’s responsibilities until a permanent succession plan is found.
