Zander-Greg Gives John T’s Flavored Cigars New Look

Share

Zander-Greg is bringing back John T’s, a line of flavored cigars, giving it a new look and expanded distribution in the process.

The line dates back to 1984, when the Antonaros family launched the cigars as an evolution of the pipe tobacco blends that debuted just about a decade earlier. Zander-Greg acquired the brand in 2014 with the mission of preserving its history while continuing to offer the quality that fans of the line expected.

It returns with six flavor profiles:

  • Peach Whiskey, which blends ripe peach sweetness with warm whiskey notes
  • Honey, which offers smooth, natural honey complemented by hints of cream and toasted oak
  • Vanilla, which combines creamy vanilla bean with subtle sweetness and a rich aromatic finish
  • Cherry Cream, offering a sweet cherry balanced by smooth creamy notes reminiscent of a cherry milkshake
  • Rum & Cola, a classic cola sweetness layered with rich rum, molasses, and sugarcane
  • Strawberry Daiquiri, delivering bright strawberry flavor paired with a smooth, cocktail-inspired finish

All of them are offered in a 5 x 38 petit corona vitola and come with a honey rum-dipped cap. The company does not disclose specifics about the blend other than that the cigars use premium Dominican pipe tobacco and a natural wrapper. The cigars are produced at an undisclosed factory in the Dominican Republic.

Pricing is set at $100 for a box of 25 cigars, which works out to $4 per cigar. The cigars are currently available for retailers to order.

The company has said that more flavor options will be available soon, notably Café Ole, Amaretto, Cappuccino, and Chocolate, as they are undergoing repackaging. Additionally, the company is bringing back the John T’s Crowd Pleasers line, which measures 5 1/2 x 38, and John T’s Short T’s, which are a 4 x 30 vitola, in the near future. Both of those lines use an Ecuadorian wrapper and come in a variety of flavor options.
