Freedom 250 is an initiative launched by the White House. It brings together civic, cultural, educational, business, and philanthropic partners to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Officials at the federal, state, and local levels are organizing a series of events. There are also internationally coordinated efforts, including at some U.S. embassies, with the Dominican Republic among those participating.

The event celebrated the culture and independence of the United States. This included historical displays, American-inspired food, live music, and fireworks. The Embassy also welcomed Arturo Fuente Cigars to participate.

For the event at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, Arturo Fuente built a massive cigar lounge that attendees enjoyed throughout the evening. Arturo Fuente Cigars were on display, including a preview of the upcoming OpusX United We Stand release.

There was also an abundance of Fuente present in the lounge. A video display highlighted the history and culture of Arturo Fuente Cigars.

“All the frills, US Marines, fireworks, and every past living president and even the present President of the Dominican Republic were there paying their respects. The U.S. Ambassador asked us to be present. Ciro (Cascella) built a huge cigar lounge that was the attraction of the entire event,” said Carlito Fuente in a statement to Cigar Coop.

“I’ve never before seen so many people paying their respects to the USA. Everyone feels things are different now. 💯USA,” added Carlito. “Every DR Minister of Secretary of State were there paying respects and I think most if not all were enjoying cigars celebrating with us.”
